'Heat,' 'Manhunter' Star, Actor Tom Noonan Dead At 74
Tom Noonan, a prolific character actor with credits dating back more than 40 years, has died.
The Greenwich native was 74. Director Fred Dekker announced his death on Facebook on Wednesday, Feb. 18, saying the 6-feet-5-inch-tall actor had died last week.
He did not provide a cause of death.
Noonan built a long and memorable career in film, television, and theater. His film credits include playing a crime boss in “RoboCop 2,” an assassin in “Last Action Hero,” a hacker in “Heat,” and a serial killer in “Manhunter.”

Former standout NFL lineman turned Maryland high school history teacher Tre' Johnson died unexpectedly while on a family vacation, his wife announced.
Johnson was just 54.
"It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that my husband, Tre' Johnson, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, during a brief family trip," Irene Johnson posted. "His four children, Chloe, EJ, EZ, and Eden, extended family, friends, and I are devastated and in shock."

In Virginia, a small-town football field just got a lot quieter.
Xzayviia “Zay” Bundy — a multi-time All-State linebacker, starting quarterback, and the 2025 Class 1 Defensive Player of the Year — died on Monday, Feb 9, in Tappahannock.
He was 18.
Bundy was a four-year starter for Essex High School, where he became one of the most dominant players in program history.
