A 27-year-old firefighter from Long Island is being remembered for his generosity, service, and larger-than-life spirit after he was killed in an ATV crash upstate over Labor Day weekend. Mason Kraese, of Huntington Station, died Saturday night, Aug. 30, when the ATV he was riding crashed into a tree in the town of Summit in Schoharie County, according to the sheriff’s office. John Dunford, the former mayor of Brewster and Southeast Town Supervisor, died peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 30 in Danbury, Connecticut at the age of 80, according to his obituary.
