The suspect in a fatal overdose on Long Island was arrested Saturday, May 16 with cocaine on him, police said.
Nathaniel Greene, 58, was nabbed in his hometown of Hempstead around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the Nassau County Police Department announced Sunday, May 17.
Cops were investigating Greene in connection with a fatal overdose in Nassau County, authorities said. Additional details were not disclosed.

A homeless Long Island man pulled a gun on three young bicyclists on Sunday, May 17, police said.
Ramzee Mayo, 47, was near the Meadowbrook State Parkway overpass above Front Street in East Meadow when three male bike riders, ages 20, 18, and 17, encountered him around 4:30 p.m., the Nassau County Police Department said.
Mayo displayed a handgun, and the three bikers took off in fear for their lives, police said. They dialed 911 while fleeing the area.

Two men were killed and three others were critically injured after an SUV crashed into a group of pedestrians in Manhattan Friday night, May 15, police said.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. near West 109th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
Police said a 61-year-old man driving a Mercedes-Benz SUV north on Amsterdam Avenue lost control of the vehicle, slammed into two parked cars, and struck five men ages 35, 36, 44, 46, and 51. All five victims were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

Ronald Suarez, 40, burglarized a home in Syosset on Dec. 19, 2025, around 6:30 p.m. and stole the valuables before fleeing, the Nassau County Police Department said.
