A dad and grandfather killed in a head-on motorcycle crash is being remembered as a man who brought “laughter, friendship, love, and memories” to the people around him.
Chad A. Hess, 46, of Easton, originally of Bangor, was riding a 2010 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide south on North Delaware Drive, also known as Route 611, in Lower Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County, around 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, PA State Police Bethlehem said.
Hess lost control of the motorcycle, crossed into the northbound lane, and struck a northbound 2011 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, police said.

Man Known As 'Hollywood' ID'd As Victim Found Shot Dead In PA Home
A man found shot dead inside a Pennsylvania home has been identified, officials confirmed to Daily Voice.
Dowane Lewis, 53, of Harrisburg, died from a gunshot wound to the chest, Dauphin County spokesperson told Daily Voice in an email on Wednesday, Sept. 2. His death was ruled a homicide.
Lewis was found after Harrisburg Police were called to the 900 block of North Third Street around 2 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, for a report of shots fired and a person struck, according to the department.
Officers arrived to find Lewis dead inside a residence, police said.

NJ Business Owner Dies A Week After I-80 Motorcycle Crash In PA
A New Jersey business owner has died a week after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Interstate 80 in the Poconos, officials said.
Albert R. VanRiper III, 71, of Montville, was pronounced dead at 12:32 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
VanRiper was riding a motorcycle when it crashed around 8:16 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, on I-80 near mile marker 305 in Stroudsburg, Monroe County, the coroner said.
