Woman Busted On Thruway With BAC Over Three Times Legal Limit, Police Say
A 37-year-old woman was arrested after she was allegedly busted for drunk driving on the New York State Thruway, authorities said.
Troopers in Ulster County stopped the woman’s car just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, in the town of New Paltz for multiple vehicle and traffic violations, according to New York State Police.
They determined the driver, Allison Aber, of Malta in Saratoga County, was intoxicated and arrested her.
She was taken to a State Police facility in Highland, where police said tests revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.28 percent, over three times the legal limit …
Woman Busted Driving Drunk On Just Rims In Capital District, Police Say
A woman from the Capital Region was drunk and driving on just rims before she was stopped by troopers, New York State Police said.
A trooper stopped Elizabeth Sheyon, age 41, of Troy, at around 3 a.m. Saturday, May 7, after seeing sparks coming from her car as she drove south on I-87 in Clifton Park, police said.
When the trooper approached the vehicle, they realized it did not have any tires on the passenger side and was being driven on just the rims, police said.
The trooper reported smelling alcohol and said that Sheyon showed obvious signs of impairment.
