Multiple Injuries Reported After BMW SUV Loses Control, Strikes Pedestrians In Freeport At least three people were injured when an out-of-control BMW SUV jumped a curb and struck three pedestrians late in the afternoon on Memorial Day. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. at South Long Beach Avenue and West Merrick Road in Freeport when the SUV traveling westbound landed on the sidewalk near a branch of Bethpage bank and opposite a CVS.
