Madison Motorcyclist, 63, Killed In East Haddam Crash With Pickup: Cops
A Madison motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck in East Haddam on Wednesday, Oct. 15, authorities said.
The BMW motorcyclist operator by Stephen Nichols, 63, was heading west on the East Haddam Colchester Turnpike at Starr Road around 4:37 p.m., Connecticut State Police said.
There, a 2015 Toyota Tacoma, operated by a 51-year-old East Haddam man, was turning left onto Olmstead Road and entered the motorcycle’s path, police said.

A Camden man was killed after being ejected from his vehicle during a fiery crash on Interstate 295 early Saturday, Oct. 11, authorities said.
Rasah Harris, 45, was traveling south on I-295 in an unknown make and model vehicle when he lost directional control around 1:12 a.m. near milepost 9.4 in Logan Township, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper II Christopher Postorino.
The vehicle ran off the roadway to the right, struck a parked Kia passenger vehicle, and then continued into a wooded area, where it hit trees and a fence, Postorino said.

Ellington Man ID’d As Motorcyclist Killed In New York Crash With Porsche
A Connecticut motorcyclist has died following a crash with a Porsche in New York earlier this week, authorities said.
Michael J. Landry, 65, of Ellington, was riding north on Route 22 in Canaan shortly before 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, when the sports car heading the opposite direction turned into his path, New York State Police said. The impact threw Landry from the bike and onto the asphalt.
Paramedics airlifted Landry to Albany Medical Center, where he died of his wounds.

A 58-year-old Maryland man was killed after his pickup truck rolled over in a violent crash in St. Mary’s County, authorities said.
