On Wednesday, Feb. 4, officers responded to a report  commercial shipment that was scheduled for delivery to Lakewood but never arrived, Lakewood police said.  The victim said the merchandise had been picked up out of state by a contracted driver and failed to reach its destination, police said. At 8:44 p.m., police responded to Littleton Avenue near 12th Avenue and found a man who had been shot, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, Miranda said. A second victim also arrived at the for treatment, Miranda said. A 16-year-old boy later arrived at the hospital for treatment, Miranda said.  Each victim is in stable condition and each suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Miranda said.
