A struck gas line forced the evacuation of nearby residents in a neighborhood in Evesham Monday, Aug. 4, authorities said. At 9:30 a.m., officers responded to Irongate Road and Nottingham Road after a construction crew operating in the area struck a gas line, Evesham Township police said. The crew inadvertently ruptured the gas line while conducting excavation work, resulting in a significant leak, police said. Ocean Township Man Killed After Crashing Into Utility Pole: Police
A 46-year-old Ocean Township man was killed after his car crashed into a utility pole in Evesham on Monday, March 17, authorities said. At 5:53 p.m., officers responded to Evesboro Medford Road and Elmwood Road and found a vehicle had collided with a utility pole, Evesham police said. Kevin Pepper, the driver, was found unconscious and not breathing inside the vehicle, police said. Pepper was transported to Virtua Hospital in Marlton where he was pronounced dead, police said. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.

Cops Intercept 'FBI Agent' En Route To Collect $40K In Evesham, Authorities Say
A 28-year old Cherry Hill resident was arrested and charged on Thursday, Feb. 13 with trying to scam a person in Evesham out of $40,000 by posing as an FBI agent, authorities said. Officers began investigating after a person told law enforcement they received a phone call from an individual claiming to be a member of the F.B.I, Evesham police said.
