Homeowner's Body Found In Rubble Of Eagleville Fire, Police Say
The suspect of a Lower Providence police standoff was found dead in the rubble of his burned-out home following a fire, gunfire, and series of explosions Thursday afternoon, authorities said. The body of Thomas Razzi, 66, was found in the rubble of his Eagleville home just before midnight, nearly 12 hours after he allegedly displayed a firearm to a code-enforcement officer attempting to complete a routine follow-up inspection, according to Lower Providence Township police chief Mike Jackson. A Mechanicsburg man is facing a weapons of mass destruction charge after a failed attempt to make fireworks, say police. Johnathan Park, 33, was arrested after he attempted to make fireworks on his bed in his apartment in 500 block of Geneva Drive, according to police. Upper Allen Township police and fire were called to the apartment complex for reports of a burn victim around 1 a.m. on Wednesday. Police investigators are attempting to locate the parties responsible for damaging a public dock with fireworks over the summer on Long Island. Suffolk County Police Arson Section detectives released photos of the aftermath at the Town of Brookhaven docks in Mastic Beach after they were extensively damaged by fireworks in August. Well over 100 attendees at an Englewood 4th of July party apparently didn't realize the house was on fire until a passerby dialed 911, neighbors said.
