Two motorists were seriously hurt in a pair of crashes on the Garden State Parkway in Central Jersey, authorities said.
The first crash occurred at 12:53 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28 south at milepost 125.2 in Sayreville. Preliminary investigation indicates that a Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling southbound in the express lanes when it went off the road to the right, then struck the guardrail and concrete support beam, according to Sgt. Alejandro Goez, a New Jersey State Police spokesman.

A crane operator was killed when his rig rolled over on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 6:31 a.m. on Thursday, June 23 northbound near mile marker 135 in Woodbridge Township, State Police said.
Preliminary information indicates that a Freightliner M2 truck traveling northbound overturned. As a result, the driver, Scott Stadnik, 49, of Flemington, Burlington County, was partially ejected and sustained fatal injuries, police said.
The passenger, a 41-year-old male, did not sustain injuries.
