Paterson Gunman Charged In Deadly Shootout Held Pending Trial: Prosecutors
An arrest has been made in a shootout that left one man dead over the weekend. Uvaldo Mora, 28, is accused of exchanging gunfire with the 33-year-old man at Straight Street and Park Avenue around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said. The 33-year-old man was struck in the head and throughout his torso, and died at the hospital. Gunfire erupted after two cars crashed in Stroud Township on Saturday, July 27, state troopers said in a release. The collision happened on Interstate 80 near mile marker 305 around 5 p.m., police wrote. "After the occupants got out of their respective vehicles, multiple gunshots were fired," investigators said. Police were called to the food court on reports of gunfire where they found 17-year-old Columbia resident Angelo Little dead at the scene around 6:10 p.m., they said. The three men who died in the mass shooting in Carroll Park on Sunday, June 21 have been identified by police. Akil Jones, 33, Rashie Jones, 29, and Sekayi Robinson, 23, died after gunfire rang out at a cookout on the 1200 block of North Alden Street around 2 a.m., according to authorities.
