A pickup truck carrying two teens slammed into a moving freight train in Montgomery County, bursting into flames and partially derailing a tank car, Lansdale police announced on Thursday, July 3.
The fiery crash happened on South Broad Street just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, police said. A 2023 white Chevrolet Silverado collided with the train at the active crossing, where both the gate arms, lights, and alarms were fully functioning at the time of the crash.

Four men and one juvenile were in possession of loaded firearms discovering during a traffic stop in Cranford on Saturday, June 28, authorities said.
At 2:24 a.m., officers stopped a 2011 Kia Optima on North Avenue near the Garden State Parkway for several motor vehicle violations, Cranford police said.

A curfew has been installed in Seaside Heights after more than 70 people were arrested amid multiple stabbings on the boardwalk Memorial Day weekend.
Three people were stabbed and 52 adults and 21 juveniles were arrested between 6 a.m. Friday, May 23 and 6 a.m. Monday, May 26, Seaside Heights Detective Steve Korman said.
On Saturday, May 24, at 8 p.m., officers responded to the Ocean Block of Webster Avenue and found a 21-year-old stabbed in the back, Korman said. The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital and declined to cooperate with police, Korman said.

At 2:20 p.m., officers responded to Delaware Avenue and Fernwood Avenue after two juveniles were struck by a vehicle, Egg Harbor Township police.
A 2014 Chevy Camaro, driven by a 71-year-old Egg Harbor Township resident, swerved to the right to avoid a crash with a 2022 Mini Cooper, going off the road and onto the grass shoulder, police said.
