18 Orange County Residents Nabbed For DWI
A total of 22 Hudson Valley motorists were among those busted by State and local law enforcement agencies have made a concerted effort to curtail impaired drivers in the Hudson Valley as part of a drinking and driving crackdown throughout the state. New York State Police troopers conducted a special detail over the weekend looking for impaired drivers as they continue their STOP-DWI crackdown. More than a dozen Hudson Valley motorists were among 28 busted by New York State Police troopers this week for drinking and driving on local roadways. Man Charged In One Of Four Overdose Deaths In Orange County Over Weekend
An area man has been arrested for selling heroin that may have caused the death of a Maybrook woman, one of four people to die recently from drug overdoses in Orange County. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler and Town of Montgomery Police Chief Arnold Amthor announced the arrest of Jay Pagan, 32, of Maybrook on Monday in connection with the overdose death Friday of the 24-year-old woman in the Town of Montgomery. Orange County Pair Nabbed For DWI In Route 17, 209 Stops
A pair of Orange County residents were among five arrested overnight for driving while impaired. Since the holiday season, New York State Police and local law enforcement agencies say they've been “out in full force” to curtail impaired drivers in the region. Early Wednesday morning, state police troopers in Florida stopped Middletown resident Carlos Corcino, 34, on Route 17 in Blooming Grove for a similar violation.
