Ipswich Man, 70, Killed After Intentionally Stepping In Front Of Train: MBTA
A 70-year-old Ipswich died Tuesday morning, Aug. 16, after authorities said he intentionally stepped in front of an oncoming train. The man was walking along MBTA property off of Linebrook Road around 9 a.m. when he stepped onto the tracks and stood in the way of the train, MBTA officials said in an email to Salem News. He was still alive when officers arrived, and they provided what medical aid they could until paramedics rushed him to Beverly Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead when he arrived, Ipswich police said. They did not release the man's name.

The MBTA released information for riders about navigating Boston in preparation of a historic 30-day shutdown of the Orange Line. Son Of MBTA Transit Police Chief Charged With Murder Of Lynn Father Of 4
The son of the MTBA's Transit Police Chief is being held without bail after he was charged with shooting a Lynn man to death in Everett last month, the Boston Globe reports. Brian Green, age 35, was arrested in connection with the murder of Jarmahl Sutson, age 38, the Middlesex District Attorney's office reports. Sutson was shot inside a home on Central Avenue in Everett in the early morning hours of July 19, the office reports. Commuters looking to take the Medford branch of the recently unveiled Green Line Extension (GLX) will now have to wait until late November to ride, the MBTA announced Friday, Aug. 5. Wanted Boston Woman Poured Beer On Bus Driver, Tried To Make Meal Out Of Officer
A 24-year-old woman decided to share her beer with a bus driver by pouring it over his head before she bolted late Tuesday night, July 20, Transit Police said.
