A woman on Long Island is facing a murder charge after allegedly conspiring with her new boyfriend, an MS-13 gang member, to kill her teenage ex-boyfriend, who was purportedly in a rival gang, several years ago.
Hempstead resident Sandra Tobar Mejia, age 22, has been charged with second-degree murder, officials announced, for her role in the 2016 scheme to kill 19-year-old Osmin Campos-Sandoval, a member of the 18th Street gang, a rival of MS-13.

Carlos A. Lopez-Campos was arrested on Monday, Oct. 19, for the murder of Estiven Abrego Gomez, who was killed on August 20, 2016, in Greenlawn Park when he was 18 years old.

José Jonathan Guevara-Castro, 25, also known as “Suspechoso,” an alleged member of MS-13, was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 13 in Acajutla, Sonsonate, El Salvador. for an alleged murder on Long Island.
