Pedestrian Killed On Glen Cove Road: Police
A Long Island woman was struck by a car and killed walking across a street in Nassau County, authorities said Monday, March 9.
Claudia Moncada, a 69-year-old Glen Cove woman, was headed east across Glen Cove Road in Greenvale just after 6 a.m. Monday, Nassau County Police said.
As Moncada was crossing the street, she was struck by a red 2018 Dodge Challenger traveling northbound, cops said. The driver, who was not publicly identified, remained on the scene after striking her.

Reading Woman Killed In Wyomissing Crash At Berkshire Square Entrance: Police
A pedestrian struck by an SUV outside Berkshire Square Shopping Center in Wyomissing on Friday, March 6, has died, police said.
The victim, Eugenia Polonski, 71, of Reading, was taken to Reading Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, according to the release.
Wyomissing police were dispatched to State Hill Road at the shopping center entrance at about 1:15 p.m. for a reported crash involving a pedestrian, according to the release.
Officers found Polonski had been struck by a 2015 Lexus SUV driven by Margo Lemke, of Molina, Illinois, police said.

A teenage boy was seriously injured after a vehicle left the roadway and struck him in Bay Shore, Suffolk County Police announced on Saturday, Feb. 14.
Segundo Guaman, 69, of Brentwood, was driving westbound on the North Sunrise Service Road near Atlantic Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle at approximately 6:35 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, according to police.
The vehicle left the roadway and hit a 16-year-old, of Bay Shore, who was walking on the side of the road, police said.

At 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, Newark police responded to Chancellor Avenue and Fabyan Place after a UPS truck traveling northbound collided with a vehicle traveling westbound on Chancellor Avenue, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II said
