A Columbus, Ohio, man was convicted of killing another man at a Millville apartment complex, authorities said.
A jury found 33-year-old Darryl Wallace guilty on Tuesday, Oct. 8 of first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a news release. An out-of-state couple who targeted parked cars in and around Paramus stole a whopping $28,000 in cash, $50,000 worth of jewelry and $3,000 worth of clothing in one day, authorities said.
Area police were on alert after the enormous haul the day before when Paramus Officer Justin Sicari spotted a blue Nissan Rogue with Florida plates parked at the Garden State Plaza around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.

South Jersey high school graduate, talented pianist, and devoted father Steven Dennis Scalzi died suddenly in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, Aug. 13. He was 22.
