Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are on the lookout for two men suspected of stealing merchandise from a store in Selden. Police say the men, pictured above, stole antacid and over-the-counter medicine from Rite Aid (229 Independence Plaza) on Wednesday, May 15 around 7:30 p.m. The merchandise had a value of approximately $1,300, according to police. Hackensack PD: FedEx Driver Clung To Side Door Of Stolen Truck For 20 Feet
A FedEx employee who had her truck stolen in Hackensack clung to its side door for 20 feet before police located the suspected thief and vehicle parked few streets away, authorities said. A Fairfield County man is facing charges after returning to the scene of the crime where he shoplifted items in Northern Westchester the day before, Westchester County Police said. A Bronx trio went on a spending spree with counterfeit $100 bills before Hackensack police detectives nabbed them, authorities said Wednesday. The Clarkstown Police Department has taken a series of new steps in an effort to help fight scams, according to the Office of Public Information. The Clarkstown Community Policing Unit went into several local stores in the town that sell gift cards and Green Dot Money Oak cards. A 36-year-old man was arrested after allegedly stealing beer without paying for it, Westchester County Police said. Car Slams Into Store At Mahopac Village Shopping Centre
A driver hit the gas instead of the brake and slammed into the front of the Rite Aid pharmacy in Mahopac, closing the business, according to Carmel Police. The incident took place around 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Mahopac Village Shopping Centre on Route 6 in Mahopac, police said. No one was injured, but the building was asked to close until it could be inspected for structural soundness, Carmel Police said. All all of the other businesses in the plaza remain open.
