A Route 22 crash caused injuries and backed up traffic for rush-hour commuters on Monday, August 21. The crash occurred toward the center of the highway near King George Road in Green Brook Township shortly before 3:50 p.m., according to 511NJ. Driver Hospitalized After Striking Pole On Rt. 22 In Somerset County
A Route 22 driver was hospitalized after striking a pole off the highway during the evening on Sunday, July 9, responders said. The driver slammed into a pole on the eastbound side just after 8:10 p.m., the Finderne Fire Department said. The driver was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital by the Somerville Rescue Squad. The crash is being investigated by the Bridgewater Police Department.

Tractor-Trailer Involved In Fiery Lehigh County Crash, Authorities Say
A fire broke out on a Lehigh County highway following an accident late Wednesday morning, say officials. The crash happened in the westbound lanes on Route 22 in Upper Macungie, said Trooper Nathan Branosky in a post just after 11 a.m. A tractor-trailer and a sedan were involved, and medics were called to the scene alongside state police and firefighters, he added. All Route 22 traffic is being detoured onto Route 309 as emergency crews work the scene, Branosky said.

Crews were quick to rescue a trapped driver Sunday afternoon following a two-car crash on Route 22. The Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Company responded to the reported crash with injuries in the eastbound lanes near milepost 327.4 in Hanover Township and found the trapped driver around 1 p.m., the squad said.
