A Florida woman is dead after visiting her elderly parents in Maryland, police say.
Tallahassee resident Abby Elaine Dunn, 55, was shot on Friday afternoon while spending time with family in Dickerson, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
Officers were called shortly after 4 p.m. on Sept. 12 to a home in the 23000 block of Mt. Ephraim Road to investigate a shooting.
There, they found Dunn in an upstairs bedroom suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg, police said. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead on Saturday, Sept. 13. …
Man Gunned Down Outside Waterbury Bodega Just Days Before 30th Birthday
A 29-year-old man has been identified as the person shot and killed outside a neighborhood bodega in Waterbury earlier this week. He would have turned 30 on Friday.
Frank Garay, of Hartford, was shot around 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, on Charles Street, Waterbury police said.
Police are still searching for the shooter.

A Hempstead man has been convicted of attempted murder for a 2023 shooting at a Freeport bar that left a security guard paralyzed and another man seriously injured.
A jury found Tiray Clemmons, 34, guilty on all counts Tuesday, Sept. 16, following a trial in Nassau County Court.
The shooting happened on July 15, 2023, outside Agua on the Mile after Clemmons was denied re-entry to the bar following an argument with management.

David Kapay Kallo, 35, was found shot and killed late in the afternoon on Saturday, Sept, 13, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
