A Rockland County man is facing multiple charges after police say he shoplifted from a Bergen County gas station store, splashed an employee with water, and lit a cigarette near a gas pump before assaulting two officers.
Albert Johansmeyer, 28, of Blauvelt, NY, was arrested on Tuesday, April 15, following a wild chain of events at the TigerMart inside the Exxon Gas Station on Chestnut Ridge Road — located just off the Garden State Parkway in Montvale, according to Capt. Alisha Foley.

Two women are accused of stealing over $1,000 in merchandise from a Long Island Victoria’s Secret store, all while one carried an infant.
Katherine Cabrera-Tapia, 27, and Domenica Rivera-Mendieta, 25, both of Queens, were arrested by Nassau County Police on suspicion of grand larceny Thursday, March 27.
The pair entered the Oceanside Victoria’s Secret store, located on Long Beach Road, on Saturday, Jan. 4, and proceeded to conceal merchandise valued at over $1,500 inside a shopping bag, police said. They allegedly then left without paying.

A youth bystander was caught in the effects of pepper spray when police officers nabbed a shoplifting suspect at a Target in Westchester, authorities said.
According to White Plains Public Safety, police responded to Target at 9 City Pl on Wednesday, March 12, at 7:12 p.m., after store employees reported a shoplifting incident.
