A federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging New Haven resident Abdurrahman Akhdar, 26, with one count of possession of a stolen firearm dating back to an incident in 2015. The indictment alleges that on Nov. 30, 2015, Akhdar illegally possessed, stored and disposed of a Smith & Wesson .380 caliber pistol and a Colt .45 caliber pistol, both of which had traveled in interstate commerce.  The indictment furth…
