A Connecticut man who called himself “Lucifer” after police arrested him has been found guilty of a deadly convenience store shooting that left a 23-year-old employee dead, authorities said.
Luis Morales, 38, was convicted Tuesday, April 14, of murder, felony murder, robbery, and weapons charges linked to the killing of Clinton Taylor at Sammy’s Dollar store in Bridgeport, according to the Office of the State’s Attorney.
Prosecutors said Morales walked into the Park Avenue store on Dec. 16, 2021, and opened fire on Taylor, shooting him 10 times with a 9-millimeter pistol.

A Lodi man was taken into custody after firing a gun inside his apartment, then barricading himself for hours during a mental health crisis, authorities said.
On Monday, April 13, police were called at approximately 9:32 p.m., after a man went to check on his brother, Robert Dabal, 48, who had made suicidal statements, according to Lt. Dominic Miller.
