A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Stamford area, with snow, wind and coastal flooding in the forecast for Thursday with possible accumulations of 3 to 7 inches possible. WESTPORT, Conn. — Westport officials released snow emergency information Wednesday afternoon in anticipation of a blustery snowstorm expected to wallop Fairfield County on Thursday. First Selectman Jim Marpe and the town’s Emergency Management Team encouraged residents to be prepared for the storm, which the National Weather Service is predicting could dump 6 to 12 inches of snow on the area. Move Your Car: Bridgeport Declares Snow Emergency In Advance Of Storm
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — In anticipation of the winter storm bearing down on the Northeast, Mayor Joe Ganim today declared a snow emergency for the city beginning at noon Jan. 3. To allow for plowing, no parking is allowed on snow emergency streets, and only even side of the street parking is allowed on all other roadways.
