Four juveniles, including one carrying a toy rifle that resembled a real firearm, were taken into custody after breaking into Ramapo High School and stealing a school vehicle, police said. Runner Collapses In Cardiac Arrest During 5K In Bergen County, Saved By Responders
A 74-year-old runner went into cardiac arrest during the Haworth 5K before first responders used an AED to help save his life, authorities said. Sgt. Gianluca Ragone saw the man collapse while running on Haworth Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 19, and immediately called for emergency medical assistance, according to Lt. Justin Fox. Fox, Ragone, D/Sgt. James Morgan, Demarest firefighter and Special Police Officer Matthew Carey, and members of the Haworth Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded.
