Ex-LI Town Employee Pockets Dead Mom’s Pension Payments Totaling Over $56K, DA Says A former town employee on Long Island is accused of stealing his dead mother’s public pension payments totaling tens of thousands of dollars. Moses Johnson, age 63, of Huntington, was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 11, on suspicion of grand larceny. Johnson, a former employee at the Town of Huntington, allegedly pocketed 15 unauthorized payments totaling over $56,000 between April 2021 and June 2022, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. 3 Dogs Starved, Left In 'Severe State Of Malnutrition' By Capital Region Woman, Police Say A woman from the region is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly starving her three dogs. Saratoga County resident Alexis Hagadorn-Garmley, age 27, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 11, after deputies found the animals in a “severe state of malnutrition,” according to sheriff’s officials. Long Island Man Admits Posing As Nypd Officer To Get Store Discounts Impersonating a cop to save a buck will land a Long Island man in prison for years. Eric Diaz, age 43, of Brentwood, pleaded guilty to a felony count in Suffolk County Court Wednesday, Oct. 11, after being caught with multiple fraudulent NYPD identification cards. Man's Stun Gun, Fire Death At NY Police Station Doesn't Warrant Criminal Charges, AG Says Three New York police officers are off the hook for criminal charges in the death of a man who caught fire after being hit with a stun gun. Drone Seen Flying Over School In Capital Region Perfectly Legal, Police Say (Poll) A drone that was seen flying over several schools in the region sparked concerns among parents and prompted a police investigation.
