Suspect 'Secreted' Drugs From Body, Tried Hiding Them In Trooper's Seat, Police In Region Say A New York State Police trooper got an unpleasant surprise while nabbing a wanted man in the region. The incident began when 26-year-old Nathaniel Mahabier, of Cobleskill in Schoharie County, was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation on I-88 in Schoharie at around 2:50 p.m. Thursday, May 25. Arson Spree: Suspect Nabbed In Series Of Fires In Region, Including One That Damaged Church Police have arrested a suspect in a series of arson fires that were set in the region, including one that heavily damaged a church. In Albany County, police and fire crews in Colonie were called at around 12:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, with reports of a brush fire in the traffic roundabout at Albany Shaker and Maxwell roads. Albany resident Aubrey Congeni, age 15, was last seen at around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, June 3, near Sherman Street and Henry Johnson Boulevard in Albany. The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, at the Home Depot store in Riverhead, located on Old Country Road, police confirmed. Capital Region Man Rapes Underage Teen, Police Say A man from the region is facing rape charges after allegedly sexually abusing an underage teen. Saratoga County resident Thomas Millington, age 39, of Milton, was arrested Saturday, June 3, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators determined that Millington had sexual intercourse with a victim under 17 years old. He is charged with third-degree rape, a class E felony. Millington was arraigned in the Milton Town Court, where a judge ordered him held at the Saratoga County jail on $1,400 cash bail.

Habitual Flag Thief Nabbed After Targeting Several Long Island Businesses, Police Say Police have arrested a man accused of stealing several American flags from businesses on Long Island. The alleged crime spree came to an end Thursday, June 1, when an employee at the Laundry Palace in Riverhead called 911 saying a man had just cut the rope and removed the flags from outside the business.
