Repeat Thieves Busted Prowling Cars In Neighborhood On Long Island, Police Say Four suspected thieves are behind bars after they were allegedly busted prowling parked cars in a neighborhood on Long Island, authorities said. Officers were called at around 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 with reports that several people were seen going through parked cars in Wantagh, on Lawrence Drive, according to Nassau County Police. Reports Of Student With Gun Prompt Lockdown At Capital Region High School A high school in the region was placed on a lockdown after several students reported that a classmate had a gun.
