ID Released For 73-Year-Old Struck, Killed Crossing Long Island Street Authorities have identified the 73-year-old man who died after being hit by a car while crossing a Long Island street. Daniel McCarthy, whose hometown was not given, was struck at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, on Hempstead Turnpike in Farmingdale, Nassau County Police said. Incumbent Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul has a 4.8 percent lead over her Republican challenger, Rep. Man Found With Crystal Meth During Narcotics Investigation On Long Island, Police Say An alleged drug dealer is facing charges after police said he was busted with illegal drugs during a narcotics investigation on Long Island. Aristos Reglas, age 44, of East Elmhurst, Queens, was arrested on drug charges by Nassau County Police Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Merrick. Nurse From New Rochelle Who Sat With Dying Covid-19 Patients Dies At Age 65 Andrea Granata served on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, comforting dying patients when their own families could not. Now, loved ones are mourning the loss of the Westchester County native, who died Friday, Sept. 2 at the age of 65, according to her obituary. Missing 30-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Capital Region Park Authorities are investigating after a missing 30-year-old man was found dead in a Capital Region park. The man’s body was discovered in Saratoga County at around 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, in Congress Park in Saratoga Springs, according to police.
