Man Wanted For Raping Ex-Girlfriend, Kidnapping Another Nabbed In Western Mass A wanted fugitive accused of heinous crimes against two of his former girlfriends has finally been arrested in Hampden County. Neftali Marcial, age 24, was arrested at a home in Springfield Tuesday, April 26, after nearly three months on the run, Massachusetts State Police said. Drunk Driver Strikes Hudson Valley Residence, Crashes Into Creek, Sheriff Says A man from the region is accused of driving drunk and crashing into a house before ending up in a nearby creek, police said. The wreck happened at around 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 in Ulster County near Sawkill and Melissa roads in Kingston, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said. When deputies arrived they found the car in Sawkill Creek and assisted the driver in exiting the vehicle, police said. Duo Nabbed In Area With Loaded Shotgun, Child In Vehicle, Police Say Two men are facing criminal charges after they were allegedly caught with a loaded shotgun in their car in the area, police said. Dutchess County residents Christopher Craft Sr., age 55, and Jeremy Craft, age 32, both of Rhinebeck, were arrested following a traffic stop Wednesday, April 20, in Hyde Park. Man Accused Of Pulling Gun During Argument In Area An Albany man is facing multiple charges for allegedly pulling a gun during an argument in Saratoga County. Robert Maciong, age 26, was arrested in Malta Friday, April 22, on a warrant that was issued following the incident in October 2021, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said. Investigators said Maciong pointed the gun at another person during the altercation that happened on Sitterly Road in Halfmoon. Two children were also present during the incident, police said. Motorcyclist Dies After Crash In Parking Lot Of Long Island School A man who crashed his motorcycle in the parking lot of a Long Island school Sunday, April 24, has died from his injuries, police said. In a statement released Tuesday, April 26, Suffolk County Police said Victor Nigro, age 65, of Bay Shore, succumbed to his injuries. Nigro was seriously injured when he lost control and wrecked his bike in the parking lot of Gardiner Manor Elementary School on Wohseepee Drive, police said. Driver Rescued After SUV Crashes Into Auto Parts Store In Region A driver had to be rescued after an SUV crashed into an auto parts store in the region. Fire officials in Dutchess County said crews were called to the Dover Plains store in Dover Village Plaza Tuesday, April 19, with reports of a car into a building. Arriving crews found the SUV with its rear end protruding from an exterior wall and the driver still stuck inside, fire officials said. They had to cut away part of the building in order to free the trapped occupant. Fire officials said medics evaluated the patient at the scene and found no injuries. It's unclear what led up to the crash.

Cause Of Death Determined After Man Crashes Down Embankment Into River In Region A man whose car drove off an embankment and landed upside down in a local river died from drowning, New York State Police said. Former State Employee Indicted For Unemployment Insurance Fraud A former employee at the New York State Department of Labor is accused of using his position to commit unemployment insurance fraud. A federal grand jury indictment unsealed Friday, April 22, alleges that Albany resident Wendell Giles, age 51, conspired with another NYSDOL worker to fraudulently obtain unemployment insurance benefits, including federally funded pandemic relief benefits.
