Man Wanted By Feds Nabbed In Stamford, Cops Say A Fairfield County man wanted by US Marshalls for parole violations was nabbed after a foot chase through an area train station. The chase took place in Stamford at the Stamford Train Station and surrounding area around midnight on Friday, July 22. Michael McFarlane, age 29, of Stamford, was nabbed when the Stamford Police Department's NARC unit got word that McFarlane would be arriving on a train from New Haven, said Capt. String Of Thefts From Vehicles Reported At Parks In New Canaan Police are searching for suspects after five vehicles had items stolen at two parks in Fairfield County. The incidents took place in New Canaan beginning around 12:30 p.m., Sunday, July 24 at Irwin and Waveny parks. According to New Canaan Police, the chain of incidents began when a Subaru Forester was reported forcibly entered around 12:30 p.m. at Irwin Park. Mack Truck Hits BMW, Home On Long Island, Police Say A 10-wheel Mack truck struck a BMW before hitting and damaging a home on Long Island. The incident took place in the hamlet of Riverside around 10:45 a.m., Monday, July 25 on Riverleigh Avenue. $3 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold At Store In Hudson Valley Someone in the Hudson Valley is counting a lot of dollars after winning $3 million in the latest Mega Millions drawing. The winning second-prize ticket for the Friday, July 22 drawing was sold in Dutchess County in Fishkill, said the New York Lottery. One Injured In Shots-Fired Incident In Area, Police Say One person was injured during a shots-fired incident in the area. It happened in Orange County around 1:30 a.m., Saturday, July 23 in Newburgh, on Liberty Street. According to Newburgh Police, officers responded to the area of 79 Liberty St. for a Shotspotter report of five shots fired. Less than a minute later the department received another report of rounds fired on Washington Street, police said. Child Found Unresponsive In Water At Beach In Western Mass, Police Say An 8-year-old girl found unresponsive at a Massachusetts beach was saved by CPR performed by bystanders. The incident took place in Berkshire County in Pittsfield around 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. 40-Year-Old Killed After Car Skids Off Road, Crashes Into Two Poles, Police Say A Connecticut man was killed after losing control of his car, skidding off the roadway and striking two utility poles, according to authorities Windham County resident, Luis Enrique Aguilar-Ceron, age 40, of Canterbury, was killed in Tolland County around 11:20 p.m., Saturday, July 23 in the town of Stafford. Man Killed After Being Struck By Pickup Truck In East Patchogue Police are investigating a fatal crash on Long Island. It happened in East Patchogue when a man was killed crossing Route 112, north of Shaber Road, around 5:30 p.m., Sunday, July 24. He was hit by a northbound 2021 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by a 37-year-old Patchogue man, police said. Police On Long Island Searching For Three Suspects Following Armed Robbery Police on Long Island are searching for three men who allegedly robbed a man and woman while threatening them with a knife.
