Man Struck By Police Vehicle Outside New Canaan PD Station, Cops Say A Fairfield County man was injured after being struck by a police vehicle in front of a local department's headquarters. The incident took place in New Canaan around 9 p.m., Monday, June 27 in front of the New Canaan Police Department at 156 South Ave. The New Canaan Police vehicle was exiting the parking lot of 156 South Ave., to turn right onto South Avenue to head north, said Lt. Tolland County resident Cory Atkins, of East Columbia, Connecticut, was killed Sunday, June 26, while driving his  2010 Harley Davidson on the Hartford Turnpike in the town of Hampton, in Windham County. ID Released For Person Struck, Killed By Train In Larchmont This story has been updated. The Metropolitan Transportation Police have identified a man who was hit and killed by a train in Westchester. Kadeem Y. Marshall, age 32, of Mount Vernon, was hit and killed near the Larchmont train station around 8:30 p.m., Thursday, June 23, according to the MTA. The lucky ticket for the Sunday, June 25 drawing, was purchased at the 4th Avenue Snack Plus Inc. at 73 S. Fourth Ave. in Mount Vernon, the New York Lottery said. The winning numbers included 2-36-37-44-52 with a Cash Ball of 2, lottery officials reported.  The unnamed winner can collect the $1,000 a week for life, or an estimated lump sum payout. The name of the winner was not revealed.  The CASH4LIFE drawing takes place every Monday and Thursday at 9 p.m.

Rockland County resident Rolando DeJesus Gomez-Velazquez, age 32, of Hillcrest, was arrested following an investigation into the incident which took place on Friday, June 17.
