She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Trio Nabbed For Robbing Woman, Stealing Her Car At Westfield Trumbull Mall Three Fairfield County teenagers were captured after allegedly robbing a woman and stealing her car in a busy area mall parking lot. The incident took place in Trumbull around 2:45 p.m., Thursday, May 19 at the Westfield Trumbull Mall parking lot. Hudson Valley Man Busted With Fentanyl After Three-Month Investigation, Police Say A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for allegedly being in possession of a large quantity of fentanyl following a three-month investigation. The bust took place in the city of Poughkeepsie on Tuesday, May 17, and resulted in the arrest of Orange County resident Laquan Falls, age 26, of Newburgh. Teen Nabbed For Knifepoint Robbery At Hudson Valley Dunkin' Donuts A Hudson Valley teen has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Dunkin' Donuts at knifepoint. It took place in Orange County in the city of Newburgh on Saturday, May 7 at the Dunkin' located at 674 Broadway in Newburgh. The 17-year-old teen, who was not identified due to his age, was arrested on Friday, May 13, following an investigation, said the city of Newburgh Police. He was charged with first-degree robbery and released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

Wolcott Mom Accused Of Leaving 2-Year-Old Home Alone A Connecticut mom has been arrested after allegedly leaving her 2-year-old home alone to go shopping. The child was found crying in New Haven County in Wolcott around 9:30 p.m., Thursday, May 19, according to police. Police officers responded to a home on Long Meadow Drive where a neighbor found a very young child wandering in the front yard all by himself, wet and crying, said the Wolcott Police. Missing Hudson Valley 20-Year-Old Found Dead A missing man's body has been recovered from the Hudson River by police. The body of Jordan Jones, age 20, of the city of Poughkeepsie, was found on Friday, May 13 in the Hudson River. Using dental records, the Dutchess County Medical Examiner's Office positively identified the body as being Jones, who was last seen on Saturday, April 30, said Det. Lt. Eastchester Woman Who Sang At MLB Games, 9/11 Responder, Dies At 61 A Westchester woman who was known for her work at Ground Zero with the Red Cross and for singing the National Anthem at Major League Baseball games has died. Marie Menna-Doescher, age 61, of Eastchester, died on Tuesday, May 17, after earlier surviving a 9/11 linked cancer relating to her volunteer work for the Red Cross at Ground Zero, according to her obituary.
