Woman, Child Struck By Drunk Driver In SUV, Police Say An area woman and child were injured after being struck by an alleged drunk driver while crossing a roadway in the rain. The incident took place in Orange County around 9:50 p.m., Saturday, March 19, on Route 208 in the town of Monroe. When police arrived on the scene, they found a 21-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl had been struck by a 2021 Ford Explorer driven by Pamelia Lee, age 64 of Blooming Grove, said Sgt. Police Search For Suspect In Armed Robbery At Convenience Store In Pittsfield Police in Western Mass are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a convenience store while threatening the clerk with a knife. The robbery took place in Berkshire County around 8 p.m., Sunday at the Lipton Mart located at 580 North St., in Pittsfield, said Lt. John Soules, of the Pittsfield Police. An investigation found that a man entered the store, threatened the clerk with a knife, and demanded cash, Soules said. ID Released For Man Shot, Killed During Attempted Robbery At CT Motel Police have identified a Connecticut man who was killed while allegedly attempting to rob another man at a motel. Lamar Woodhouse, age 39, of New Haven, was killed early on Thursday, March 17, by the man he was attempting to rob at the Brandford Motel, located on East Main Street, police said. CT Firefighters Help Surgeon Remove Meat Grinder From Woman's Hand Connecticut firefighters helped surgeons in the operating room remove a meat grinder stuck on a woman's hand, The incident began in New Haven County around 4 p.m. Saturday, March 19 in Naugatuck when a person whose hand was stuck in a meat grinder was transported to Waterbury Hospital, the department said. Long Island Man Breaks Into Home, Forcibly Touches Woman, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a home and inappropriately grabbing and touching a woman inside. The incident took place around 9 p.m., Sunday, March 20 at a home on East Street in Hicksville, said the Nassau County Police. Man Who Left His Cell Phone At Crime Scene Nabbed For Gas Station Burglary In Hudson Valley An area man who allegedly left his cell phone and personal papers at the scene of a gas station robbery has been charged with the crime. He was arrested on Friday, March 18, in Ulster County after robbing a Sunoco gas station in the Saugerties. Man Critically Injured After Being Hit By Car In Freeport A man suffered critical injuries after being struck by a car along a Long Island roadway. The crash occurred in Nassau County around 8 p.m., Sunday, March 20, on Sunrise Highway near South Main Street in Freeport.
