Child, Woman Shot In Springfield, Police Searching For Answers Springfield police are investigating a double shooting over the weekend. The incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, when they received a ShotSpotter alert in the areas of Marlborough and Suffolk streets, a spokesperson tweeted. Police found the scene on Suffolk but no victims. They turned up later at Baystate Medical Center at different times. Masked Robber Hits Longmeadow Bank: Report There was a large police presence outside of Berkshire Bank in Longmeadow Monday afternoon as police investigate a robbery that happened around 11 a.m., police said. Police said a man walked into the Longmeadow Street bank and handed the teller a note that demanded cash. No one was hurt, Longmeadow police said. Drunk Driver With Child In Car Crashes Into Dudley Home: Police A 35-year-old Charlton man had a child in his car when he crashed into a Dudley home last week while drunk, authorities said. Eric Daniels faces several charges stemming from the weekend crash at 115 Pierpoint Road, Dudley police said. Woman Stabbed To Death In Springfield Parking Lot: Police Springfield police are investigating the stabbing death of a woman over the weekend. Police were called to Chestnut Street just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, to a report a woman had been stabbed in a parking lot on Liberty Street, Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh tweeted. 60-Year-Old Man Accused Of Crashing Into, Killing Acton Doctor: DA Police are investigating the death of a 66-year-old Acton doctor who was run over and killed as she walked off of her driveway earlier this week, authorities said. Irene Durand-Bryan was a licensed psychologist with offices in Concord and Lowell, according to her obituary. Killing At Braintree Hotel: Two Mississippi Men Admit To 2017 Slaying, DA says Two Mississippi men admitted this week to killing a 27-year-old woman during a robbery at a Braintree hotel in 2017, the Norfolk County District Attorney said. Kenyonte Galmore, 27, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and received an 18 to 20-year-prison sentence on Friday, Jan. 27. 'Serial Boston Bank Robber' Charged With Another Heist: Feds A 47-year-old Boston man who was convicted of bank robberies in 1993, 2002, and 2017 is now accused of robbing a Brookline bank last year, federal authorities said.
