Man Charged With Violating Order Of Protection In Yorktown, Police Say
A 43-year-old man was arrested for allegedly violating a protective order among other charges by texting and calling the victim numerous times.
Valentine Arvelo, of Tarrytown, was arrested around 5:50 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, after the victim went to Yorktown Police Headquarters to file a complaint, said the Yorktown Police.
According to police, Arvelo allegedly violating the order of protection by calling and texting the victims multiple times, causing fear and alarm, police said.

Police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a former high school basketball star in Norwalk.
Sheldon Frierson, 29 of Norwalk, was identified as a person of interest in the death of Michael Moody, 29, of Norwalk, who was found stabbed to death outside his Fairfield Avenue home on Thursday, Aug. 8, said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake.
Known as a talented basketball player, Moody played at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, where he was known for his "smooth," jump shot, was stabbed around 1 a.m. Thursday, Norwalk Police said.

Man Violates Protection Order, Assaults Woman At Work As She Tries To Call 911, Police Say
A 32-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly violating a protective order and assaulting a woman by grabbing her neck and throwing her into a door, Milford Police said.
Louis Perez, of Milford, was arrested around 12:30 a.m., Thursday, August 1, on an active warrant, said Officer Joseph Dempsey, of the Milford Police Department.
According to police, Perez is accused of going to the workplace of a woman who holds the protective order and harassing her, Dempsey said.

Stony Point Man Hits Woman In Head During Domestic Dispute, Police Say
Stony Point Police arrested a 57-year-old man for allegedly injuring a woman during a domestic dispute.
Thomas Murphy, of Stony Point, was arrested around 1-:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, and charged with assault and harassment, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas.
Murphy was arrested after officers responded to a request for an ambulance for a 59-year-old woman with an injury, Hylas said.
Once the scene, the woman told officers that Murphy allegedly struck her in the head with his fist during a domestic argument and caused a cut over her eye, police said.
