Teen Who Robbed Long Island Rite Aid Caught After Crashing Stolen Car, Police Say A teenager who robbed a Long Island Rite Aid was caught after a foot chase after he crashed a stolen car, police said. The robbery happened just before 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16 at the store at 2260 Jerusalem Ave. in Bellmore. According to a store employee, a male suspect entered the store and removed items without attempting to pay, Nassau County Police said. After a brief struggle with the employee, a 28-year-old woman, the subject fled the scene in a white Volkswagen, according to police. Pickup Truck Crashes Into Rite Aid On Route 9 A Rite Aid in the area is closed for at least rest of the day after a pickup truck crashed into the store, the Fairview Fire District said. The Rite Aid is located on Route 9 (at 3350 North Road) across from Marist College in Poughkeepsie. The incident happened just before noontime. There has been no word on any possible injuries sustained by the driver, who is described as an unidentified man. Town of Poughkeepsie Police and other emergency responders remain at the scene.
