Man Driving Without Headlights On Facing Drug, Weapons Charges, Massachusetts State Police Say
A Massachusetts man was arrested following a traffic stop for driving without headlights on alleged weapons and drug charges.
David McDade, age 36, of Worcester, was arrested around 2:30 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, after a state police trooper noticed he was driving in a black Mazda CX-9 without headlights.
Trooper Micheal Lyons pulled over McDade and after running a check found that his license had been suspended, state police said.
While waiting for the vehicle to be towed, Lyons conducted a search of the vehicle and uncovered a silver Smith & Wesson revolver loaded with five rounds …
Fairfield County Man Nabbed In Connection With Overdose Death, Police Say
Following an investigation that lasted more than a year, a Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs, and faces charges associated with an overdose death.
Rodney Spann, age 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Stamford Police on Wednesday, Oct. 13, on charges of the sale of narcotics and conspiracy to sell narcotics.
The investigation into Spann began in September 2020 after a woman died from an overdose, said Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department.
During an investigation into her death, Spann became the focus, Conklin said.

A Fairfield County felon who allegedly drove through two lanes of traffic and hit a concrete barrier was nabbed with a stolen handgun and ecstasy.
Michael Ford, age 37, of Stamford, was arrested around 8 p.m., Saturday, March 27, when three Stamford detectives sitting at a stoplight opposite from Ford, watched as he drove through traffic and hit the barrier, said Stamford Police Captain Rich Conklin.

A 20-year-old man was nabbed with more than 57 grams of marijuana and a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun during a traffic stop by state police.
Corey A. Latimer Jr., of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Friday, March 12, after troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2002 Honda sedan on Route 9D in the city of Beacon for violations of the vehicle and traffic law, said Trooper AJ Hicks.

A federal grand jury has returned an indictment against a Connecticut man charging him with narcotics distribution and firearm possession offenses.
Ronnell Rogers, 27, of New Haven, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 28, and entered a not guilty plea during a court appearance and was ordered to be held without bail, said John Durham, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
As alleged in the indictment, on Sunday, Jan. 17, Rogers possessed distribution quantities of heroin and crack cocaine, and a loaded Smith & Wesson .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol.

A man on the run from Virginia police for a shooting incident was recently arrested in Massachusetts.
On Thursday, Feb. 11, Massachusetts State Police, the U.S. Marshals Service, and Haverhill Police located and arrested Hector Javier Bido, 23, while he was staying in a Proctor Street apartment in Haverhill, Massachusetts State Police said.
