'Sopranos' Actor, Westchester Native Cast As Cuomo On Showtime Series Michael Imperioli is going from the mob to the governor's mansion. Imperioli, who starred as Christopher on the "Sopranos" and is a Mount Vernon native who graduated from Brewster High School, has been cast as Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Showtime miniseries "Escape from Dannemora," about the 2015 escape of two inmates from an upstate New York prison. Ben Stiller, a Chappaqua resident, is directing the miniseries, which has been filming in Thornwood, Orange County, and Rockland.

A street team has been sweeping up Peekskill three times a week, cleaning up of all the litter. The program is funded through next summer thanks to a $20,000 grant from Wheelabrator Westchester and contributions from the City of Peekskill and the Peekskill Business Improvement District. Astorino Drops Indian Point Lawsuits Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino has decided not to go forward with his lawsuits trying to stop the closure of Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan. Astorino's attorney filed paperwork to discontinue the lawsuits Thursday, according to LoHud. Astorino was defeated by Senator George Latimer last week in his bid for a third term.
