Woman Rescued After Driving Car Into Water On Long Island A woman is recovering after she drove her car into the water on Long Island, prompting a water rescue from police. The incident happened at around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 in Mastic, near Hampton Avenue and Riviera Drive. Columbia County resident Robert Coons was last seen Thursday morning, July 6, in the city of Hudson near Columbia and North 3rd streets, according to Hudson City Police.
