20-Year-Old Killed In Capital Region Crash Is Fresh Wound For Family Scarred By Tragedy A young man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a highway in the region. The incident happened just before 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, in Saratoga County, on Route 70 in the Town of Stillwater. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Tyler Desnoyers was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Route 70 when he lost control and struck a westbound car.  Debris from the bike struck a second westbound vehicle, leaving visible damage. Medics in Greene County were called at around 5:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, for a swimmer in distress at Fawn’s Leap, located near the hamlet of Haines Falls in the Town of Hunter. Armed Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed After Targeting Capital Region Branch, Police Say A 59-year-old man is accused of robbing a bank in the region at gunpoint. The robbery happened at around 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, in Albany at the Broadview bank on State Street, according to Albany Police. Investigators said Leonard Price, of Albany, entered the branch and displayed a handgun, demanding money from the drawer. The teller complied and Price fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. No employees or customers were injured during the robbery.
