2 Killed In Long Island Crash Involving Hampton Jitney Bus Two people are dead after a motorcycle collided with a charter bus during the evening commute on Long Island. Emergency crews in Greenport were called shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, with reports of a crash at the intersection of State Route 25 and Moores Lane. According to Southold Town Police, a Hampton Jitney bus was pulling out of Moores Lane when it crossed into the path of the motorcycle. New York DA Accuses Lawmakers Of 'Protecting Criminals' With Proposed 'Clean Slate' Bill A local prosecutor in New York is blasting state lawmakers over proposed legislation that would automatically seal most criminal convictions. The so-called “Clean Slate Act" was introduced by State Senator Zellnor Myrie, a Democrat whose 20th Senate District includes parts of Brooklyn. Man Set Fire That Destroyed Garage, Damaged Apartment In Capital Region, Police Say A 61-year-old man is accused of intentionally starting a fire that destroyed a garage and heavily damaged an apartment building in the region. Rensselaer County resident Paul Coleman, of the Town of Grafton, was arraigned on an arson charge in Rensselaer County Court on Friday, June 9. ATV Crash: 26-Year-Old In Critical Condition, Suspect Charged With DWI After Long Island Wreck A Long Island man is facing DWI charges after he allegedly caused an ATV crash that sent a 26-year-old woman to the hospital. The crash happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in Brookhaven, on Bellport Avenue near Louise Avenue.
