Wanted Man Fleeing Cops Dies After Crashing In Capital Region, Police Say A 49-year-old man wanted by police died after leading troopers on a chase and crashing in the region, authorities said. Culprit In 22-Year-Old's Stabbing Death In Area Sentenced: 'Another Blow In Black Community' Nearly three years after a 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a street fight in the region, his killer is heading to prison. Darius Cokely, age 23, of Albany, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison in Albany County Court on Wednesday, Feb. 1. Customer Stabs Man At Long Island Deli, Police Say An altercation between two customers at a Long Island deli led to one man stabbing the other, authorities said. Emergency crews in New Cassel were called at around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, with reports of a disturbance at Westbury Deli, located on Prospect Avenue, according to Nassau County Police. People Were Inside When Woman Set Fire To Capital Region Home, Police Say A Capital Region woman is accused of setting fire to her home while people were inside, authorities said. Saratoga County resident Sarah Woody, age 42, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 24, in connection with a suspected arson at her Town of Malta home a week earlier, sheriff’s officials said.
