Suspect Nabbed In Westfield Trumbull Mall Robbery, Police Say A man was arrested following his involvement in an alleged shoplifting incident that turned into a robbery at a mall in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 1 p.m. in Trumbull at the Westfield Trumbull Mall. CT Police Sgt. Fired For Off-Duty Traffic Stop In Which She Allegedly Harassed Woman A Connecticut police sergeant has been fired from her job after allegedly making a traffic stop while off-duty in a road-rage type of incident. New Haven Police Chief Karl Jacobson recommended on Friday, Aug. 26, the termination of Sgt. Shayna Kendall after an internal affairs investigation was completed and was found to have violated numerous department policies. Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Juvenile Victims At Daycare/Foster Care Homes A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for allegedly sexually multiple juvenile victims at daycare and in foster homes. Orange County resident John Olson, age 59, of the town of Warwick, was charged while incarcerated at the Delaware County Jail. An exact date of his arrest was not provided. 9-Year-Old Boy Dies After DWI Crash On Long Island Expressway A 9-year-old boy who was seriously injured when the car he was a passenger in was hit by an alleged drunk driver on the Long Island Expressway has been declared brain dead, according to a GoFundMe page. Man Wanted For Assaulting Woman In Maryland Apprehended In NY, Officials Say A man wanted for allegedly assaulting a woman in Maryland has been apprehended by police in New York. The suspect was apprehended in Ulster County, NY, while officers were conducting a warrant investigation on Tuesday, Aug. 23. 20-Year-Old From Fairfield County Killed In I-84 Crash A 20-year-old was killed after slamming into the back of a tractor-trailer on a busy Connecticut roadway, police said. The crash took place in New Haven County around 8:30 p.m. near Exit 23 on I-84 in Waterbury.
