Woman Killed By Police Sergeant Husband In CT Murder-Suicide ID'd As Beloved Library Director
A Connecticut woman killed by her police sergeant husband was a beloved library director.
The couple was found shot to death in Hartford County in East Granby, on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m., and were identified as T.J. Jacius, age 49, and Doreen Jacius, age 48, both of East Granby.

Jacius was a police sergeant for Avon Police Department where he worked for 24 years, the Avon Police said.
Doreen Jacius was the director of the East Granby Town Library.

CT State Police Release IDs, New Info After Suspicious Deaths Of Man, Woman
Police have identified a Connecticut man and woman who were killed in a suspicious shooting at a home.
The two were discovered in a Hartford County home around 5:45 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 28 in East Granby on Wynding Hills Road, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Troopers and East Granby Officers responded to the residence, where they located two adults, identified as Thomas Jacius, age 49, and Doreen Jacius, age 48, addresses unknown at this time, with apparent gunshot wounds, state police said.
Officials said both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Man Charged After Boy, 9, Dies Following DWI Crash On Long Island Expressway
A man who was allegedly driving drunk on the Long Island Expressway when he slammed into another vehicle, killing a 9-year-old has been charged.
Travis Dickson, age 27, of Brooklyn, was charged on Monday, Aug. 22, with driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle crash that took place in Farmingville around 1:50 a.m.
The crash happened when Dickson, driving a 2018 BMW westbound on the LIE, rear-ended a 2019 Toyota Corolla.
