Six Hudson Valley Residents Accused Of Scamming $250,000 From Businesses
Six Hudson Valley residents have been indicted by a grand jury in a wide-ranging fraud scheme that costs area businesses more than $250,000.
The fraud scheme targeted businesses in Orange County including in Newburgh and Middletown and ran from March 2021 through April, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office
Those arrested included:
Turgaud Dubuisson, age 29 of Newburgh
Anthony Dubuisson, age 25, of Newburgh
Robert Geter, age 46, of Newburgh
Marlon Tabora, age 25, of Newburgh
Daniel DeLeon, age 32, of Newburgh
Tonya Best, age 46, of Middletown.

Man Wanted For Killing Girlfriend In Bridgeport Found Dead In Tennessee
A Fairfield County man considered armed and dangerous who was wanted for the alleged murder of his girlfriend was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Tennessee, following a standoff with police.
The standoff with Glenn Pettway, age 28, of Bridgeport, took place in Jackson, Tennessee on Wednesday, June 1, and Thursday, June 2.
Police were led to Pettway after receiving an anonymous tip that he was hiding out at a location in Jackson, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.

Greenwich Bank Robbery Suspect Surrenders To Police
A man wanted for the robbery of a Fairfield County bank turned himself in to police one day after his wanted photo was plastered everywhere by the media.
Joseph Heffner, aka “JC”, age 42, of Greenwich, surrendered to Greenwich Police at 11 am Thursday, June 2, after learning that there was a warrant for his arrest.
On the morning of Wednesday, May 11, Heffner allegedly entered the M&T Bank in Cos Cob and demanded money, Capt. Mark Zuccerella said.
No weapon was displayed, and he made off with less than $5,000, Zuccerella added.

Bridgeport Man Charged With Shooting Death Of Neighbor, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly gunning down his neighbor through a window after exchanging "words," last month.
The arrest took place in Bridgeport on Thursday, June 2 in connection with the Monday, May 9 homicide.
Delvon Angel Rodriguez, age 21, of Bridgeport, was charged with manslaughter and carrying a pistol without a permit in the shooting death of Jose Alicea, age 38, of Bridgeport, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.

Man, Woman Charged With Sexual Assault Of Child In Danbury, Police Say
Two people have been arrested in Fairfield County for the alleged sexual abuse of a child.
The arrests come after an investigation in Danbury following a complaint made in September 2021.
Danbury police began an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse of a child. The child, who is now an adult, was the complainant, said Det. Lt. Mark Williams, of the Danbury Police.
After a lengthy investigation, including the issuance and execution of several search warrants and other investigative techniques, arrest warrants for two suspects were issued, Williams said.
