She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Alert Issued For Missing Hudson Valley 20-Year-Old Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help locating a missing man last seen by his family five days ago. Dutchess County resident Jordon Jones, age 20, of the city of Poughkeepsie, was last seen by family on Saturday, April 30, at his home located at 25 South Clover St. after a recent friendship just ended. Two Found Shot To Death At Long Island Home, Police Say Updated story: IDs Released For Two Found Shot To Death At Long Island Home Police on Long Island are investigating after two people were found shot to death inside a home. The incident took place in Selden around 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, May 3 at 55 Hollywood Ave. Suffolk County Police confirmed that two people were discovered shot to death in the home and an investigation is underway. Man Admits To Murder Of 21-Year-Old Woman In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to murder and other charges in connection with the shooting death of a young woman. Orange County resident, Carlos Rivera, age 49, of Newburgh, made the plea on Monday, May 2 for the murder which took place in New Windsor in December 2019. During the incident, Chelsea Debidi, age 21, of Walden, was killed at the Knox Village Apartments in New Windsor at the home of her 20-year-old boyfriend’s family, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office. Two Dead After Fire Breaks Out At Multi-Family CT Home Two Connecticut men were killed during an intense fire at a multi-family home. The fire took place in New Haven County in Waterbury around 3 a.m., Tuesday, May 3 on Arch Street. According to Waterbury Deputy Fire Chief Kenneth Tamborra, when the first firefighters arrived on the scene the fire was so intense that windows were blowing out of the second floor. Man, Woman From Hudson Valley Sentenced For Killing Chef, Son Inside Home A Hudson Valley couple has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a popular chef and his brother during a home burglary in 2021. Orange County residents Chasity Cutway, age 38, and David Host, age 33, of both of Walden, were sentenced on Friday, April 29. Man Rescued After House Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield A man was rescued from a blazing Fairfield County house fire that caused more than $250,000 in damage. The blaze broke out in the Town of Fairfield around 5:10 a.m., Tuesday, May 3 at the home located at 577 Kings Highway East. One Killed In Western Mass Crash One person was killed during a single-vehicle crash in Western Mass. It happened in Hampshire County around 5 p.m. Monday, May 2 in Belchertown. When officers responded to the scene at 606 North Washington St., the driver, the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene, said the Belchertown Police. The identity of the victim is not being disclosed at this time. The crash is under investigation by the Belchertown Police, the state police, and the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
