CT College Student Killed, Two Others Injured In Hit-Run Crash, Police Say
A college student was killed and two others injured during a hit-and-run crash in Connecticut.
The crash took place in Hartford around 11:35 p.m., Thursday, March 31 near the intersection of New Britain Avenue at Henry Street.
All three victims were students at Trinity College located in Hartford, police confirmed.
When police arrived on the scene, they located three female victims, with one unresponsive, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police.

Dealer Nabbed For Overdose Deaths From Fentanyl-Laced Heroin In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley alleged drug dealer has been charged in connection with the overdose deaths of four people.
Dutchess County resident Allen Peloquin, aka "Ace," age 34, of Poughkeepsie, was taken into custody on Thursday, March 31.
Peloquin was charged with distributing fentanyl-laced heroin that resulted in the death of a woman in Putnam County in Carmel, in Feb. 2020, and a man in Poughkeepsie, in May 2020, said Damian Williams, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

26-Year-Old Indicted For Rape, Robbery At Long Island Hotel
A man has been indicted for allegedly attacking a woman at a Long Island Days Inn hotel, raping her, and stealing valuables, including jewelry and cash.
Isaih Giles, age 26, address unknown, was arraigned Thursday, March 31 for the attack which took place in April 2021 in Nassau County in Woodbury.
According to the indictment, on Thursday, April 22, 2021, allegedly placed his foot in the doorway of the victim’s hotel room door to prevent the door from closing.

Bridgeport Nightclub Closed After Police Find Guns, Liquor, Fire Violations
A popular Fairfield County nightclub has been closed after officials allegedly found several fire and alcohol violations.
The VIP Lounge, in Bridgeport, located on Pembroke Street, was raided by police and state liquor officials around 2:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 26.
"This immediate area has been plagued with police calls for service related to noise complaints, felony assaults, narcotics violations, and homicide," said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.

Jury Finds Hudson Valley Man Guilty Of Shoving Pregnant Woman
A Hudson Valley man has been found guilty of criminal contempt for shoving a pregnant woman to the ground.
Rockland County resident Eric Tranholm, age 28, of Stony Point, was convicted by a jury on Wednesday, March 30.
