She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

New York Parolee Nabbed In Stolen Car In Area, Police Say A New York man out on parole was busted for allegedly stealing a 2018 Chrysler 300 and "rifling" through other vehicles in the area. Broome County resident Michael J. Mackawgy, age 24, of Binghamton, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 22 around 11:15 p.m. by the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office after deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. Fairfield County Drug Dealer Busted For Selling Fentanyl, Police Say A Fairfield County man was busted for allegedly selling fentanyl throughout the county following a four-month investigation. Edson Casseus, age 36, of Bridgeport, was busted on Friday, Jan. 21, at the SONO Collection mall by the Stamford Police Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, Captain Richard Conklin of the Stamford Police said. Casseus was arrested after agents were able to secure an arrest warrant charging him with three counts of sale of narcotics, Conklin said. CT Man In His 20s Found Shot On Street, Police Say Police are investigating after a man was found shot on a Connecticut street. The shooting took place around 11:15 p.m., Monday, Jan. 24, when Hartford Police officers responded to the area of 5 Fales Street on a Shotspotter activation, said Lt. Man, Woman Charged After Dispute With Employees At Nassau Hotel Turns Violent A man and a woman were arrested after allegedly having a violent dispute with employees at a Long Island hotel and then with police officers. Man Accused Of Assaulting Baby In Area An area man has been arrested for allegedly physically assaulting a baby. Dutchess County resident Tyler R. A Fairfield County man has been arrested nearly a year-and-half after a search warrant of his home turned up child pornography on electronic devices. Double Shooting In CT Leaves One Dead, Police Say A double shooting in Connecticut left one man dead and another seriously injured. The incident took place in New London County Sunday, Jan. 23, when the City of Norwich officers responded to a home on School Street for reports of a disturbance. Long Island Man Admits To Brutal Sexual Assault A Long Island man faces 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to a brutal sexual assault that seriously injured a woman.
